Conservatism Comes at a Price, All While Progressives Mow Us Over
Progressives move fast. Conservatives move slow. Maybe conservatives aren't really leaders if they continue to hesitate with their message.
Doesn’t anyone ever wonder why conservatives are
slow to say something when a Progressive advances a new, crazy idea?
slow to adapt to new ideas
slow to respond to controversial points
slow to be aggressive
slow to show up, stand up, engage, and respond?
Is it possible that our “delay” is really our attempt to be wise and - well, prudent?
And yet I would propose that our good intent and noble virtue must change its form of delivery if we ever want to rise again.
Russell Kirk actually considers it one of our shining pillars (which I outline below) but here is the scary part: We have to pick up our tempo. In this fast moving culture, if we do not figure out how to be quick on our feet and stay aggressive in a timely manner we will continue to get lost in the wind.
