How to Build Inroads with Media: They Are Not the Enemy
Conservatives make it harder than it has to be. Members of the media are people too.
I have a novel idea. Radical really (especially among many conservatives):
Instead of talking bad about all the media, how about building relationships with the media?
How many conservatives who bad-mouth the media have actually talked to members of the media, learned how to effectively get story details to reporters, found out how best to serve them in making sure they get the facts?
How many have taken the time to say “what can we as conservatives do better?”
How many have contact reporters when a false report comes out and said “could I give you a counter narrative that disputes your point?”
Conservatives, for too long, have treated the media like the enemy. They have bad-mouthed them without knowing them. And they have hurt our cause immensely because we have not known or recognized the beauty of a partnership with the media. And we have not known how to go about building it.
I’m going to tell you how.
