How to Win as a Conservative? Stop Losing as a Conservative ...
You laugh. But maybe you should hear my point first ... it's no laughing matter.
Too many 21st century conservatives do not:
Fight to win
Want to win (hear me out … keep reading)
Live for the long term
Keep going, even after they (or their effort) lose
Get smarter with the losses
Study the opposition
Hone our own skills so we are the best of the best as conservatives.
Am I wrong? 21 years and counting in this arena and I’m telling you: I see a big red flag. Conservatives “say” they want to win - but too often they do not act like it.
Now, if you are saying “not true!!” as you read this - congratulations. You are one of the few who sees things differently. I’m speaking about the general mass of those involved in the conservative movement.
What is Wrong with our Mindset?
To be honest, I think the mindset is a blindspot. I don’t think it’s a conscience decision we make as conservatives to “not win.” But by nature we are so passionate and committed to our principles and the purity of our convictions, that we lock eyes on the perfect stance (or candidate or cause) in the moment, disconnecting from what it could mean in the long-term.
