LONGER version: Why Can't We Be Little Ronald Reagans?
A Reagan baby makes the plea to fellow conservatives
I was born in 1981, the month after Ronald Reagan became President of the United States. It goes without saying that I don’t remember a ton about his Presidency. But I have grown up with a passion for his skill of communications.
As a participant of the political arena for over two decades, I have repeatedly heard of his brilliance in communications and heard the agony as leaders have recognized his absence and the void that exists without another Reagan in office.
There are moments for nostalgia. And it says a lot of a leader that he was so cherished even decades after his service, his skill is missed.
But then there comes a point where we need to either: shut up or do something. I propose the latter. I propose we emulate and become “Little Reagans.”
