How a phrase from my childhood could revolutionize America if we would all adopt it I am no longer okay with "not asking questions." We must be inquisitive if we want freedom and truth to continue.
Funny how when you grow up, phrases come back to haunt you and you realize, they were not just silly quips but solid principles to live by.
How many mothers were like mine that would say, “Put on your thinking cap.” In other words: when you encounter a challenge, a moment of boredom, a scenario you need to find a solution to - think! Get creative!
As Americans, we need to be accustomed to
asking questions
respecting authority, yes but always being a critical thinker to say, “Is there anything they might be missing?”
Asking questions is a lost art in America. Too often we take what a doctor suggests or what government leader says we can and cannot do and assume “that’s the final answer.”
Yes, sometimes a stop sign means - stop. There is no wiggle room. It is the law. No creative maneuvering can get you out of obeying a stop sign.
